You can simply show off your floral crowns in festive seasons or at carnival parties too. All it takes is to transform a piece of craft into a style statement that would befit your persona.
Let's together explore the secret to get some marvelous floral crowns with ease.
How to Make a Floral Crown
Type of Crown
Before you start making a flower crown, decide for yourself whether you need a fresh flower crown, or would a bunch of artificial ones appeal more to you. You can choose either of them to flaunt your exotic crowns. The idea is to wear a floral crown that is easy to create and will make you look beautiful.

Artificial flowers are great if you want to use them recurrently, like when you want to gift it to someone. Fresh flowers are a good option if you want a crown for single use only. They are also ideal if the occasion is someone's wedding or a festive occasion like Easter.

Alternatively, you can also use these crowns as showpieces too, irrespective of whether they are fresh or artificial. In case of fresh ones, you can dry them and later hang them to get some rustic walls in the interior.
Choosing Flowers for the Crown
While choosing flowers, keep the following on your checklist.
  • The season during which you are making the crown
  • The colors that suit you/the attire with which you want to club your crown (for instance, if you are wearing a red gown, the crown can have some white flowers in it!)
  • If you want a mixed flower crown, ensure that the flowers are in sync with each other in terms of size, color, and appearance.

Props to Make the Crown
  • Flowers (real, silk, or paper flowers)
  • Floral tape
  • Floral wire
  • A pair of scissors
  • Floral wire pliers
  • Ribbon (optional)
Step 1
Measure the circumference of your head, and then cut the wire accordingly. Keep the length of the wire a couple of inches longer than the actual size so that you can wrap the remaining part around the loop you make, to obtain a hardy crown. You can also wrap the floral tape around this frame so that the crown gets a smooth texture and will also be a buffer against poky edges of the wire.

Step 2
Cut the stems of the flowers to a length of about 2 - 3 inches. We shall keep the length of the stems longer, so that when we fix the flowers to the loop, we can easily wrap the flowers from the stem.

Step 3
Now, if you are making the crown with bundles of small flowers and big flowers, then you first have to make a neat bundle of them. To make the bundle, take the flowers of your choice and tie them together as a bouquet. Fasten a string of wire around it. Now, with the aid of a wire, fix this bouquet on the loop. Once done, wrap it again with floral tape.

Caution: Always use a pair of pliers while fixing the wire as you may get bruised.

Step 4
Make as many bundles as would be sufficient to wrap the loop. If you want to cover the entire loop, you would need more bundles; else you can limit the number if you wish to have some free space on the loop. If you are using bigger flowers only, you need not make a bouquet. Fix it directly onto the loop, and then wrap the stem with the floral tape.

Caution: Handle the flowers delicately, else you risk crushing the petals.
Step 5
Repeat the steps as required. If you want to attach ribbons on the crown, keep some room at the back of the crown. Cut the ribbon at a length of your choice. Wrap it along the free space on the side of the crown and tie a knot.

Caution: Always attach the flowers to the loop in such a way that they face outwards. Place the flowers on the loop uniformly along the side of the wire. Keep note of the direction, in order to avoid getting a haphazard pattern of flowers.
