Water bottles are commonly used to store drinking water. These bottles are affordable and easy to obtain. You can express your creativity by using personalized labels. To personalize water bottle labels, ask yourself the following five questions:
  1. What is the theme design for the label?
  2. What is the size of the bottle and label required?
  3. How many labels are required?
  4. When do you want them?
  5. How much is your budget?
You can create these labels yourself; or there are companies that make them.

Do It Yourself Water Bottle Labels

You can create personalized labels for a small group of people. Also, making the labels yourself will save money.

Step 1: Get hold of all the things you need. Here is a list of the basic things you need for creating the labels.
  • Water bottle
  • A designing software
  • Waterproof label (according to the size of the bottle, with a self-adhesive back)
  • Printer (Inkjet or Laserjet)
Step 2: Designing The Label
Open a graphic design software. Open a page size that is the size of the label you are going to stick. Design the label according to the event, be it a party or a business function. If you wish to display some text on the label, make sure that enough empty space is there all around the text, so that it can be read clearly. Now, create the design and choose the colors appropriately. Example 1 - For a child's birthday party, you can use cartoons, bright colors, and a cute looking font. Example 2 - For a business function, choose light colors, simple design, and a simple font.

Step 3: Printing The Label
After you are done with designing the label and satisfied with the design it's time to print. You can use a laser printer or an inkjet printer.

Step 4: Sticking The Label
Now that you have your label ready, let's stick it on the bottle. Remove the plastic from the back of the label carefully and hold it at both the ends. Ask someone to hold the bottle from both ends. Now, gradually stick one end and ask the person holding the bottle to roll it slowly. Simultaneously, start sticking the label and finally stick the other end on the first one. With your fingers, smoothen out the label to make sure there are no air gaps between the label and the surface of the bottle. There, you have created your first personalized water bottle label!

Useful Tips
  • If you wish to create a handmade label, draw a design on a paper and use it as a label.
  • If you don't have a waterproof label with a self-adhesive back, place the label on the bottle and cover it nicely with a transparent sticky tape.
  • By combining the above two tips one can get cheap customized bottle labels.
