If your kid is interested in arts and crafts, then you should consider teaching him/her the use of tissue paper for the same.
You do not have to spend a lot of money for making things with tissue paper, and they are real fun too. These can be made by kids of any age and require very little time for preparation. Here's how to make some simple objects with this simple paper found in almost every home.
1) Key Chain

  • Decoupage solution
  • Colorful tissue paper
  • Transparent plastic lid
  • Thin wire
  • Scissors

Directions
Step I
Step I: You can make this type of key chain in different patterns and shapes. You can go for a shape of a butterfly, or a flower. Draw the shape on cardboard.
Step II
Step II: Cut the cardboard in the required shape with scissors.
Step III
Step III: Staple the pattern onto the plastic lid from all the sides. The pattern should fit on the plastic lid surface.
Step IV
Step IV: Cut the edges of the plastic lid to make a plain flat surface, and cut out excess plastic, if any.
Step V
Step V: Make a small hole at the top of the plastic with the help of punch.
Step VI
Step VI: Take colorful tissue papers and tear them to form small pieces of ¾ inches. Apply decoupage solution to the cardboard layer of the plastic.
Spread the small pieces over the decoupage solution. Try to make overlapping patterns that will suit. Also, spread the solution over the tissue paper and leave the assembly to dry. Once the gum solution dries completely, trim off the excess paper towards the edges.
Step VII
Step VII: Attach a thin wire through the hole at the top.
Step VIII
Step VIII: Tie the wire twice. Your key chain is ready.

  • Wiggly eyes
  • Tissue papers - white and yellow (or any other color of your choice)
  • Ball-shaped lollipop
  • Red ribbon

Step III
Step III: Draw the eyes and mouth of the fairy with a marker. Glue the wiggly eyes where you marked the eyes.
Step IV
Step IV: To make the fairy's wings, take some colored tissue paper and draw a butterfly shape. Cut it out.
